You’re going to feel like real dancers filled with “Salero”! As soon as you get here you’ll dress up according to the motif, skirts, roses, hats and vests! The soundtrack will be unique. Beyond the traditional Flamenco music and since we’re in Portugal we will listen to Fado as well. (Fado is a traditional Portuguese music and it’s a Humanitarian Cultural and Immaterial Patrimony by UNESCO.) We will dive in the Flamenco’s world, and I’ll briefly speak about its origins and history. I’ll give a few basic statements for a successful experience. We will do a specific dancing warm-up, where you’ll learn the arms technique, the tap dance technique and simple turns. When you’re comfortable with the dance style, we will get to the best part: the choreography! You’ll be able to choose one of the 3 soundtracks that I’ll submit and we’ll get to the action! It’ll be a fun and thrilling challenge. You’ll learn a lot. At the end of this dance experience, when you’re super comfortable with the choreography I’ll video capture you dancing, with a device of yours or mine (sending it directly to the hosts). To conclude, we will stretch and take a picture of the hosts at their very best!
I’m a dancer and I’ve been a Flamenco teacher for 10 years, with students between the age of 3 and 90. I have a degree in Dance and I’ve graduated in Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, in Lisbon. I’ve lived in Spain to specialize in Flameco dancing as well as to have more knowledge of this unique art. I’m the founder of “Fuego & Flamenco” Project and I perform on dance shows in various events. I was a jury member in the InShadow contest–International ScreenDance Festival, Performance and Technology. I love this art and the possibility to connect to others and to provide them unique experiences!
Sound system, clothes and accessories related to the theme: skirts, roses, fans, shawls, vests and hats!
The hosts will have this experience in a dance studio with a wooden floor (ideal to a Flamenco dance practice), a sound system and mirrors.
