My motivation is to have you actively participate in this tour, sharing my reality, own experiences and information about this city and mentality, as well as delivering you a great memory of your little adventure in my new hometown. We’ll walk around Vienna’s hippest and dopest neighborhoods, I will show you places and tell some inside stories, which you cannot find in any official city guide. Our exploration will start in MuseumQuartier, one of the largest cultural quarters in the world. Along the journey we will come across small businesses, street food carts , murals, old architecture, places where some of the most important artists worked and lived, place with the largest selection of crafted beers, an old fashioned candy shop, a small and hidden museum with a mind blowing collection of royal furniture and artifacts, internationally renowned photo shops and galleries, and get a lot of pics for Instagram, your Blog or Website. Liberated from standard sightseeing tours you will feel confident and learn what’s on hand.
Whoever comes to Vienna thinks they need to see the First District and foremost. Big mistake. Unfair. The real Vienna, its real magic and surprising secrets lay beyond Ringstrasse. Let me show you Vienna at its best. I am Fine Artist and Art Historian, worked in education over fifteen years, relocated from the US to Vienna. I have created my own tour combining Arts, tradition, local food, wine and beer with everything what makes our lives contemporary. Intense five years of living in “Seventh Heaven District” opened my mind and heart to this young, diverse and progressive neighborhood.
We’ll start where the Mumok, the Leopold Museum, the Kunsthalle create Quartier 21, as one of major forces against conventional understandings of Art. After, Bonbons - treasure chamber- Vienna’s oldest candy shop and Hofmobiliendepot with Habsburg furniture legacy; continue for crafted beers, place where Gustav Klimt once lived and WestLicht as Vienna’s finest address for photography. Tour will end on the top of largest open air stairway.
