We believe in small groups, so we limit the number of participants in our classes to 5. This allows us to keep our classes truly personal, to work with various kinds of ingredients and to focus our attention on teaching you to the best of our abilities. The menu in our classes is changing on a seasonal basis but here's a hint of what you can expect: Amazing wine from our friends' organic wineries as well as home-made spirits will be served throughout the class. Appetizers - You'll be greeted with drinks and offered a rich selection of tasty Hungarian cheese varieties, fresh and fermented veggies, salami and cold cuts, all from carefully selected local farmers. While you nibble on these, we will tell you about the Hungarian cuisine and the meals that we are going to cook together. Mains - You will get to cook a traditional Hungarian stew from free-range chicken or organic 'mangalica' pork meat with paprika, red wine and side dishes that are typical of our region. We will teach you all the secret techniques about cooking the perfect stew. Vegans/vegetarians will cook a different, but equally exciting, and Hungarian inspired plant-based meal. When your dish is ready we will all sit down and dine together - preferably in the garden if the weather allows it. Dessert - After the main course, we will serve you one of our traditional desserts.
Hi, we are Eva, Andrea and David, three young chefs from Budapest. We believe food is one of the most influential elements of our life and since our early childhood we loved discovering farmers' produce & experimenting with new tastes. Two of us are vegetarians and we are strong supporters of buying local and organic products, not only because they taste the best, but also because it spares our planet.
At the end of the class we'll eat all the meals that we cooked together. Guests with special dietary needs are welcome too…
Complimentary refreshments such as water, coffee, soft drinks and organic wine will be offered.
All the kitchen equipment that's needed for our class will be provided. No need to bring anything.
Our cooking class takes place in a private villa with a beautiful large garden, perfect for outdoor dinners on warmer nights. The villa is located on the Buda side in a residential, yet easily accessible area.
