Today the gender equality for modern women in many ways is taken for granted. The struggle for equality has a long history and it seems even nowadays in many spheres of social life is still incomplete. The aim of the walking tour is to reveal historical figures that history books often forget, but who have made the live of women far more mundane, putting them out of the household everyday life. Bulgarian women’s history has its bright personalities thanks to their adamant spirit and far-sighted vision for the development of Bulgarian society – they opened the gates of Sofia University and higher education for women, and then prove that women are efficient to practice their professions and to be leaders. In 1908 the first female labour law is adopted, but the question stays: “Is this legislation in favor of women’s labour rights or protects male jobs positions?” Who are the remarkable Bulgarian women who left memorable traces in the area of education, legislation, art, creativity, construction, transport? Who are the leading female characters in our history? Answers to these questions can be obtained with a unique historical walking tour in the footsteps of extraordinary Bulgarian.

I think it will be good to share this experience with airbnb community.
