In Paris, there are so many vintage stores to choose from - so it can be very overwhelming to jump right in! With me as your guide, you'll be shown the cream of the crop; we'll be covering my favourite vintage stores, from the thrifting style places where you'll find rare treasures for under 20 euro, to the more curated store . Some of these stores are so off the beaten track, you'd never know they were down that little alley way or street! We'll be trekking through the centre of Paris and covering several quarters, and we'll have time at each place to have a thorough look. I'll be on hand to offer up advice on styling, how to make a piece work and even where you can find the next treasure to go with it! The tour fits any and all budgets - whether you want to thrift and find the best bargains, or find one special piece, I can tailor to you and your needs. Big budgets and small budgets and everything in between are welcome! Please note: Vintage in Paris is mostly from 1960s through to the early 2000s. If you're interested in older vintage, please contact me before booking a tour. It can definitely be found, but will require a more specialised route. If you're looking for high end and designer vintage, including designer handbags, please message to book a private tour.
I am a full time artist, as well as running an instagram account where I show my vintage finds from Paris. My artwork reflects a fashion-driven vibe, and clothing is central to my practice. I attend Paris Fashion Week three times a year - that's including the men's shows too! - and my husband works exclusively with coveted brands like Chanel, Dior and Vuitton. I am also a tour guide by bike in Paris, and I know the city like the back of my hand! My art/fashion on instagram: @youngearlgrey
We'll start in the historic Jewish Quarter of Le Marais, where we'll get off the beaten track to some secret little stores. They're cheap, and you will have to wade through clothing, but you might just find a very special piece from the 80s or 90s! From there we'll move through Chatelet and Etienne Marcel, checking out more hidden away places that specialise in everything from the 70s through to the 2000s, and even a few designer pieces too!
