Join us in discovering Valletta, Malta’s capital city, through it’s magnificent beauty and history. We will be greeted by the Triton fountain before entering Valletta through the city gate. From there we will wander around the streets of Valletta, admiring the colourful balconies, the breathtaking views and historical buildings. Whilst walking we will focus on Valletta’s history especially on the great siege and the Knights of St.John. After visiting some of the most beautiful spots in Valletta such as the upper barrakka gardens, the grand harbour and Victoria gate we will stop for a short break before continuing exploring. Our short break will be at the old Valletta market which was originally built in the 19th century, where I’ll offer you pastizzi and a drink. If you don’t know what pastizzi are, don’t worry and trust me as I’m sure you’ll love them!
I have been working for Heritage Malta, which is the national agency for cultural heritage in Malta since 1992. I was always passionate about the history and traditions of the Maltese islands since I was a young girl. I became a licensed tourist guide in 2016 specialising in small groups. Jimmy, my co-host, has worked for Heritage Malta for 38 years and also shares my passion for Maltese history and culture. We can’t wait to share our knowledge and expertise with you all to make you fall in love with this magical city as much as us!
