For this experience, you'll be painting on denim (jeans, jackets, skirts and so on). You bring your own denim and we will have the supplies to make your denim a wearable piece of art. You will be in a classroom setting, where you can move around freely. There will be a wide variety of acrylic paints to choose from along with templates. The templates will be shapes and other images that can be traced on your denim and painted. There will also be an area outside, where you can even put a little spray paint on your denim. All participants will be given an apron, paint brushes, paint and water for cleaning your brushes. If participants do not have denim, we can supply you with something for an additional cost once you sign up.
I am a school art teacher and I also have a graphic design background. I do volunteer art class for an organization called Cafe Momentum, and I also teach art classes at the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center in Dallas, TX. I have a passion for art. There isn't a wrong or right when it comes to art. It's all expressive and non-subjective. The more you let go of your boundaries the more beautiful your work becomes. I love seeing the expressions on my students faces, once they see their final art creation.

There isn't any places that we will go outside of the community center. All activities will take place at there.
