We'll set out during the golden hour and take a boat cruise around the Laguna Atascosa Wildlife Refuge. We'll enjoy a beautiful sunset as we watch for birds and marine life. Animals that call Laguna Atascosa home include osprey, redhead ducks, sandhill cranes, reddish egret, tri-colored heron, shorebirds, snow geese, white tailed deer, nilgai antelope, bobcat, coyote, javelina, western diamondback rattlesnake, Texas tortoise, and the American alligator. Ryan & Surfvive
I'm a waterman and director of SurfVive, a non-profit on a mission to grow sustainable communities through surfing, gardening, and art. I was born and raised surfing the Texas Gulf Coast and worldwide. I believe that introducing people to the special bond they have with the sea forever transforms the way they look at the world.
SurfVive is a non-profit charity on a mission to show love through surfing, food, and all forms of art. We strive to strengthen our connection with creation. We recognize the importance of taking care of our bodies, land, and sea. We offer free surfing lessons and learning gardens for our community.
We will be cruising through the Laguna Madre, a lagoon between South Padre Island and the mainland of Texas. The Laguna Atascosa Wildlife Refuge will be visible from the boat. It is the largest protected area of natural habitat in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, an oasis for wildlife.
最多可有3位年满18周岁的参与者参加。家长也可携带2岁以下的儿童参加。 Please keep in mind that water often splashes into the boat while we are cruising! Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet, and bring water protection for your electronics to use while we are moving!
