I will take you to the most beautiful and wildest natural park in the Netherlands. Only 30 minutes away from Amsterdam. We will meet at the train station 'Zandvoort aan Zee'. It only takes 30 minutes to get from Amsterdam CS to Zandvoort by train. Zandvoort lies next to our seashore, so if you like the sea breeze, this is the best spot! After we arrived at the train station, we'll have a short drive to our starting point. We start with a hike and look for animal tracks. In this area, we have deer, highland cattle, foxes, hares, squirrels, beavers, and even the European bison! During our hike, I will teach you some outdoor skills such as navigation, starting a fire and animal tracking. Skills that are essential to master as an adventure filmmaker or expedition leader. If you would like to know more about nature photography, I can teach you this as well! After the first hike, we will have a break and I will make some nutritious tea from the trees and plants in the environment. Late afternoon, before sunset, we will actively look for wildlife. Be aware that the animals are shy out here and have mastered the art of stillness. I cannot guarantee we will see wildlife, but if we move silently and have enough patience, we will have a good chance!
I am an adventure filmmaker, nature photographer, and expedition leader. I did my film studies in England and my communication and media studies in Utrecht in the Netherlands. Filmmaking has taken me to many places, from deserts in Yemen to the arctic tundra in Finland and the tropical jungle in the Philippines, I have worked for extensive periods of time in remote environments and in harsh weather conditions. I love adventure and nature. Living and working in Amsterdam - even though we are allowed to smoke weed - can be stressful. Leaving the city and taking a walk in nature is very refreshing and healthy! Bring your friends and enjoy our natural park. I'm pretty sure you will love it!
I will bring a typical Dutch snack with me. This will be a surprise!
I will bring a portable wood stove and a gas stove, so we can boil water for tea and coffee.
I will pick you up from the train station in my adventure van. It's a short drive to our starting point.
As a first medical responder, I will bring a first aid kit with me.
The nature reserve is accessible for everyone, but it's quite a big landscape and sometimes very difficult to spot wildlife. I have two locations: the North, where the European Bizon roams, or the South: the territory of the fox and fallow deer. Depending on the weather conditions, we will choose which area we'll explore.
最多可有5位年满16周岁的参与者参加。 No previous experience is required, but it's good to know that we will get off the beaten path and that your shoes - and potentially other clothes - might get a bit dirty. We will arrive as a group and start as a group, but I…
You don't need to be a physically trained superhero to enjoy this trip. But it will become difficult if you have a foot or knee injury and have difficulties with walking. This area has a nice boulevard, and if you like, you can spend the morning on the beach.
