You'll jump right into a working recording studio and discover the process of recording a record from start to finish. You will see our Studio A where countless of gold and platinum records have been recorded, be able to take pictures behind the same microphone that Jewel recorded on, and have a hands on experience where you blend all of the recorded tracks together. OmniSound Studios the oldest recording studio in Nashville still open to the public. We work with every major record label, artists of all genres, publishing companies, and even people who are in town on vacation who would like to record a song. Omni has been around since the late 70s and has a deep history of working with some of the industry's biggest artists. Some of our clients include: Jewel, Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser, Luke Bryan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more. Before it was a studio, Omni was the location of the Musicians union where every single musician who played on country records in the 50s-70s came to pick up their paycheck. Come tour one of Nashville's most historic recording studios.
I am the General Manager of OmniSound Studios on the legendary music row. I have been working at OmniSound Since 2012. I started off as an engineer working on the more technical side and transitioned to the management side in the last few years. I work with record labels, artists, and everyone in between. My job is to keep the studios booked, facilitate the hiring musicians for records, and ensure all of our clients have the best possible experience recording their records.
Soft Drinks, Water, and Coffee are included during the duration of the tour.
We will tour both buildings of the OmniSound Studios complex. The first building is home to the legendary Studio A and studio B where most of the recording happens. The second building contains two studios that are used for mixing (which is the final step in the process).
This is an educational tour into the process of recording records. We are happy to talk in broad details or we can get into more technical details depending on the audience.
