Come and see the South Loch Gin distillery and learn how gin is made in Scotland's oldest gin bar 56 North! You are welcomed with a South Loch Gin and Fever-Tree tonic on arrival. We will teach you how our gin is made on our amazing copper pot stills. You learn about botanicals, production, bottling and gin production. You get to try three gins made on our South Loch Gin distillery with tasting notes and explanations from us. Lastly you get a glass of bubbly topped off with a gin liqueur made by us before you leave. You can also buy signed bottles of South Loch Gin on the day to take home with you! If you want to stay after the session, 56 North's bar stocks over 400 gins and is Scotlands was first gin bar opening in 2008. It also serves food to 9pm daily if you'd like to eat.

We're the gin team at 56 North and South Loch Gin. 56 North is Scotland's oldest gin bar with over 400 gins and a working distillery making South Loch Gin. We've won loads of awards for our bar, tastings and team over the 11 years we've been open. We were the first ever winners of Scottish Gin Awards bar of the year. We've been on TV doing gin work for BBC, STV and more. James is one of the taste judges for the Scottish gin awards and has +15yrs in gin. Lindsay is our master distiller and has a full masters degree in brewing and distilling! Gary is the bar's general manager and a superb distiller. Neil is Mr Gin and the fun martini loving creative one. As a group we make up the gin team

Our Distillery is accessible for disabled wheelchair visitors but we do not have a disabled toilet as we're an old building. Just message if you have any requirement and we're happy to assist more.
