We would meet in the Palma center in the morning, for a nice walk together to explore around, to discover the main highlights but also the calm backstreets and some local food: this is the Palma we love! After some walk, we would get in front of La Seu, our amazing Cathedral in front of the sea! Wow! There, we would learn a little bit about how the construction took place after the Cristian reconquest from the Arabs...did you know it? (The Arabs were in Mallorca for 300 years! Wow!). We would get the change to enter inside (skipping the line) and admiring the colorful rosettones, the new altar made by Gaudí (yes, Gaudí from Barcelona) and the Barceló artwork in the holy chapel. Then, we would get in the backstreet to discover the hidden part of the center, the one where few tourists arrive, in fact just few travelers arrive. We would discover the narrow streets which were, in the past, part of the Jewish ghetto. We would end the tour in one of the local markets of the town where people go to buy fresh fruits, vegetable, fish and meat. There we will invite you to relax a moment for a small tapa and a glass of beer like locals do before going to have lunch.
Damià has a passion for the cathedral and the old town since school. As a school project, he had to build a model of the cathedral. Doing the necessary research, he fell in love with the building. Izaskun knew she liked it a lot earlier. So, she decided to study tourism at university and got a masters in sustainable tourism. She loves local food, cuisine, handicraft, and culture. She has her own Airbnb profile https://www.airbnb.es/users/show/231399877 We both are certified guides and enjoy showing the city of Palma from the local perspective: Mixing history and current lifestyle.

We will discover the main streets and backstreets of the center, the Cathedral of Palma from the inside, the Lonja, the Ort del Rey garden, the ex Jewish ghetto, Plaza Cort, the local Market de l'Olivar. The itinerary can slightly change depending on the weather conditions (if it rains we will try to stay more under the roof and less in the middle of the streets), the interests of the group, the creativity of the guide.
