体验内容
Fruit trees are abundant in San Pedro neighborhoods, and we all swap and share to make sure nothing goes to waste. My friends and neighbors grow citrus, tropical fruits, avocados, persimmons, and more, and you'll join me to harvest and trade this abundant fruit grown on our residential trees. We'll work as a team to pick whatever is in season. After the harvest, we'll make a batch of San Pedro's best lemonade, featuring the local seasonal flavors we've just collected. All ages and ability levels welcome.
Other things to note
Bring sunscreen, good shoes, and a hat. We'll be outside the majority of the time.

I've made it my mission to share my front yard harvest with my neighbors. The mature fruit trees of San Pedro are so productive, there is no excuse not to maximize this free food resource. When we share, everyone gets more. It's been so fun getting to know my neighbors this way. And eating fruit you just picked off a tree really makes you feel like part of the earth.

We'll meet at my house, then head to different trees in residential gardens around the neighborhood to harvest what's in season and meet the people who grow these trees that feed. When we're finished, we can head back to my place to put our pickings to use in a lemonade lesson.

- I was the only person for her 12 o’clock event and I couldn’t change and she still took me solo to pick fruits! She actually decided to show me around all the major areas around San Pedro which could have been an experience on its own! We did pick fruits at her friends’ house and she was very friendly as well (and her backyard is gorgeous)! Army was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure I got to see all of San Pedro which is something she is passionate about!

My nine year old son can't stop talking about how much fun he had with Army. I would recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a great family friendly time.

- Army, and the experience she provided, was everything we hoped it would be and more!! We went as a family of 5 and we all got so much out of the experience of picking and tasting throughout the neighborhood and her yard. Army really went above and beyond providing us with a rich and special experience. A great way to kick off our week visiting LA. Her dog is the sweetest too. Army made sure we were ok with also meeting her dog which is much appreciated since our youngest was apprehensive until she met him. Would highly recommend if this is something you are considering. I would like to bring friends along and do this again next trip for them to experience this as well!
