How often do you get to taste oysters at SOURCE? This invigorating excursion will see us rock up in Rock where we'll dine on oysters Alfresco in clear view of the beautiful oyster farm they come from & the rest of this stunning estuary. You'll be spoilt with plenty of pristine Porthilly Oysters, knowledge of oyster culture & Cornwall & get an introductory hands-on shucking lesson. Situated opposite the famous Harbour of Padstow & surrounded by golden Cornish Beaches it's hard to find a more spectacular setting to enjoy these gorgeous oysters direct from local farmers.. There'll be plenty of shucking and oyster eating and depending on weather we'll fire up & BBQ a few. The set up is pop-up style, to give you an authentic oyster experience on the edge of the Camel Estuary. Come shuck & sip from the pearly cups next to the briney blue with Katy, The Oyster Lady. I'll answer any questions you have & give you an insight in to the oyster world that will be hard to match. As a Superhost on Airbnb with my home in Newquay, I pride myself on my ability to welcome, entertain, feed & host my fellow travellers. See you at the beach.
A leading passionista in Oyster Love, I'm known Internationally as The Oyster Lady and have been lucky enough to appear on BBC's Saturday Kitchen, Channel 4s Sunday Brunch, the Radio 4 Food Programme, The Times, Daily Mail, The Observer Magazine, Sunseeker International Magazine and many more all because of a passion for this beautiful bivalve. I've spent years learning and pioneering in the world of oyster culture and want to share this with you in the stunning environs of Cornwall. I've championed this delicacy for decades and I'm convinced you'll love it too, if you don't already!
