In this tour we dive into the layers of immigration that created the Multi-Kulti phenomena in Berlin. From French Huguenots to Turkish Gastarbeiters, we visit many different cultures and hear how their story add and changed Berlin's own history. All the meanwhile sampling delicious food made by them. The tour is about 3 hours. We will visit 3-4 different locations. Some of these locations are well known but some are not your standard tourist attraction. Along with the food, there will be a wine and a craft beer to taste as well. You will get an insight on how Berlin has become the vibrant city that is now in the last 30 years and get to know the immigrant communities that help the progress. There will be no currywurst or döner on this tour but things like asian vegan tapas, best burger and best craft beer bar in town with plenty of cultural references to feed your mind.
I believe food brings people together. That is why I am a Food Tour Guide for over 10 years to tell people stories about local food and the culture behind it. I have been featured on NatGeoAdventure, CBS, CNN and many other media channels as an expert on local food. Apart from the food tours, i manage an event space in which i design many different events on food such as pop up dinners, comedy dinners, food and film club etc.
On each location there will be a sample to eat
On certain location there will be a drink to sample
We will try French wines, American burgers, Turkish food, German craft beer, Asian vegan tapas and Arabic desserts.
