I will show you around Praga and help to discover its contrasts and artistic scene. While walking along dark streets, hidden backyards and modernised areas I want to give you a wide perspective on latest transformations in the Praga district. We will take a look at the most iconic street art pieces, spot some bars and cafes and look around vintage stores presenting polish design. If we’re lucky, we will also have the opportunity to see the dark side of Praga, so be prepared for a thrilling experience!
I am Zosia, history of art and German philology student, living in Warsaw my entire life. Now I'm an exchange student at the University of Bonn in Germany where I continue to study and explore German culture. When I'am away, I have two close helpers - my sister Helena and my brother Henryk. Sometimes you'll meet with them in Praga. The district of Praga Północ has an extremely inspiring, outstanding atmosphere, post-industrial and artistic in its own way. Praga has experienced a major change within past few years - from being perceived as a dangerous district to the lively area attracting creative industries and local artists. The streets of Praga tell the story of the Second World War as well as they give a clear insight into how the creative part of the city looks like.
We can warm up in one of the local cafes or grab a coffee to go!
We will move around so called Warsaw "Bermuda Triangle" and end up near to the Dworzec Wileński metro station.
