We will travel in time and put ourselves in Madrid in 1936. We will walk the centre of the city, from Paseo del Prado to Calle Mayor and stop to see significative buildings and spots that have an important meaning to Madrid and its history in the Civil War. We will talk about Spain's background, the International brigades, the battle of Madrid, the international actors, the dictatorship and what all of this means to today's Spain.
I am a history major and love explaining Madrid's history. I am passionate about the Spanish civil war and sharing with others my city and its secrets. I travel a lot and I always look for local people to guide me through their knowledge and experience. I simply offer what I would like to have: a wonderful experience, having a nice walk and learning about this fascinating time in history. I am full of energy and you'll have to interrupt me because I will never stop talking and having fun.
History does not come neatly packaged. It is a continuous learning. Having the privilege to explain my city's history and to be able to make other people interested in my passion is a dream come true. I have been studying the Spanish Civil war for 6 years and read everything I could find on, it is by far this conflict with more literature about it. It still fascinates the young and the old and it is a crucial way to understand spaniards today.
