Ever wondered how Portugal’s famous Azulejos tiles are designed, or how to create a repeat pattern? Perhaps you want to create a personalised postcard to send home, or a colourful set of greetings cards for friends and family? With twenty years of printmaking experience between us, we will assist you with one on one tuition in the creation of your very own edition of Lino prints in the form of greetings cards and postcards. The workshop will give you an overview of the relief printing process, with a focus on techniques that will allow you to create multiple souvenirs in a calm and relaxed environment. Within this carefully curated three hour workshop, suitable for families, solo travellers and everybody in-between, you’ll discover your creative printing potential, master a new skill set and create special memories of this unique experience. Alongside the chance to meet local artisans and craftsmen working in the Atelier, we promise that this experience will be the highlight of your visit to Lisbon. Please be aware that your prints will take 12 hours to dry and that you'll have to come back to collect them the next day. However we are also able to post them to you for a small additional fee.
Lisboa Social Press is an independent artist run space in Lisbon for hands-on-creative workshops. Co-founded in 2018 by artists Jillian Roberts and Tom Maryniak, they run Lino printing workshops on a weekly basis. Jilly graduated with a Masters in Fine Art Printmaking from the Royal College of Art in 2015 and Tom from Bath Spa in 2012. He subsequently went on to work in New York, returning to London to set up a bespoke handprinted wallpaper business. Both artists have run workshops across the UK and abroad, Jilly having organised several workshops at the Fashion & Textile museum and Brighton University.

Located on the Rua Santa Justa in Baixa, our sunny atelier is just seconds from the Elevator Santa Justa and offers a space of quietude from the bustling street below. Originally in an apartment, the atelier boasts all of its original features including its traditional Azulejos tiles. The building, constructed soon after the 1755 earthquake, is a beautiful example of the city's renovation under Marques de Pombal.
最多可有8位年满10周岁的参与者参加。 No additional art experience required
Your prints will take 12 hours to dry, so we can arrange a collection time or a shipment of artwork for a small fee. The atelier is located on the third floor and so there is no disabled access.
