Every year, 100,000 people visit Congress avenue to witness the Mexican free tail bat flight! Most guests either see it from the bridge or kayaks. This experience is the only one out there on SUP boards. Stand up paddle boarding is one of the best ways to explore Austin's waterways, and enjoy the outdoors. Our self paddle includes some adventure, our amazing sky line sunset, and an up close and personal view of our largest urban bat colony. Every summer, 1 million 500 thousand bats migrate from Mexico City to Austin. They've inhabited congress bridge, and their feeding frenzy is a sight you don't want to miss. Our trip will have the opportunity to see them from our paddle boards, feet from their dwelling. Join the adventure, to check off some of Austins must do's! Paddle boarding sounds intimidating, but you can paddle on your knees, cruise indian style like a kayak, and stand up when you feel most comfortable. Our boards are stable and easy to use! We'll also have plenty of time to paddle down to the bats. Have anyone in your group that would prefer to kayak? Let me know. For the last 9 years, I've had the opportunity to guide experiences around the world. I am a Texan native, and grew up on the southern border. After studying business, I found myself with an itch to travel. I now have a tour agency in Austin Texas, Frontera Tours, and I love showing off the city. There's so much sightseeing, and tons of history. On my free time I find myself cycling around the city, exploring and eating. Lady bird lake is the reason Austin is so active. The lake sits downtown Austin, and the view of the city is breathtaking. This area is considered subtropical, and is the reason we have so much biodiversity. The sunsets are are amazing during the warm evenings, and the bats have become a part of Austins culture.
