I invite you to try out Sightrunning, a mixture of running and sightseeing. While we run together, I will present the beautiful city of Potsdam to you. We will discover Potsdam's diversity when it comes to architecture, food, attitude and politics. On the route I chose we will pass by many not-so-touristic spots which are less evident for all the day tourists coming to Potsdam. The route is about 10 km long, so we will run approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, including a few breaks. Meeting point is the fountain at Luisenplatz, in the heart of Potsdam in front of the famous Brandenburger Tor.
After spending a few years in the romantic city of Heidelberg, I moved and started exploring Potsdam in 2014. While living here, I found how beautiful the parks, the lakes, and Potsdam's buildings are. As part of a running group, I enjoyed many different running routes and got the passion to share my experience with you. I am excited to take you on a historical journey back from the Prussian Kingdom over World War II and the Cold War to the recent years. Having guided numerous city tours when studying in Heidelberg, I look forward to introducing you to the unique atmosphere of Potsdam. Then, do not wait and sign up! I am looking forward to show you my favourite place to live.
Our route starts next to the fountain at Luisenplatz. From there we head over to the steam engine house continuing to the Alter Markt, where we see the Nikolaikirche, the Parlament and the Museum Barberini. Including a detour to the Freundschaftsinsel, I'll accompany you through the Nuthepark along the Havel river. Going further over the Nuthebrücke we will pass by the Holländisches Viertel and end in the Brandenburger Vorstadt.
最多可有6位年满18周岁的参与者参加。 You should be able to run 10 km with an average pace of 6 mins/km at least.
I will adapt the running speed to the group, so no worries that you will be left behind. However, I do assume that you are able to run 10 km with an average pace of 6 mins/km, at least.
