We will walk a wonderful path, the Almanchares river ravine, which rises to more than a thousand meters in the abrupt Natural Park of the Sierra Tejeda, descends precipitously down the slopes of this mountain in the municipality of Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella.
The karstic nature of this massif and the erosion of water have served to create a place of great beauty, which is known by locals as La Rahíge (or Rahíje). It is a vertiginous footbridge, currently restored by the City Council, which runs along the river bed. Today this section is known as the 'Caminito del Rey de la Axarquía'. We will walk until the one natural pool, and we will swim in a little waterfall with pure fresh water.
On the way back we will also visit the white village of Canillas de Aceituno, immersed in its Andalusian Mozarabic art.

- The experience with David and his partner Simpa was great, beyond my expectations. Very friendly welcoming and sympathetic people! It was a lot of fun and a super beautiful trail, up high in the mountains (nice for your fitness as well). They are very passionate and shared a lot of historical information and facts about nature of the region. Moreover they provided many useful tips for further stay. 10 out of 10 experience, totally recommend. Great value for your money.
- It was a great experience! I hiked some of the way then felt that it was too much and decided to go back into the town David, Simpa, and the rest of the group were supportive and also came back. We toured a couple towns and a Roman bridge. The lunch was great and so was the company! David has a lot of knowledge with plants, history, etc. It was an awesome trip & would take it again....probably still just half the hike though!
