Lands of Priolo is set in the oldest side (geologically speaking) of São Miguel island. It covers the municipalities of Nordeste and Povoação and it is associated with an environmental protection project. This protected area exists because of a special bird, Priolo (Azores Bullfinch), which only exists here. We will be exploring Furnas, Povoação and Nordeste as well as the amazing valley of Tronqueira and you'll get blown away by Planalto dos Graminhais. Along the day you'll have the opportunity to get to know the flora of the Azorean Laurel Forest. Don't forget to bring your camera! Priolo may show up and pose for your photos.
Hey there! I live and breathe the Azores and its nature every second of my life. I started guiding travelers and adventurers like you around the year 2000 and never regret it. The Azores and traveling are more than a passion and that is why I’m offering to share with you these amazing islands through unique and unforgettable experiences. I truly believe in sustainable tourism and I often work as a volunteer in different social and environmental programs. I also have my activities recognized as nature tourism by the local government. Don't forget to check out my other experiences in my AirBnB profile. Azores government licensed - RRAAT Nº 39 / 2015 / RAA
