You'll learn how to make both the most delicious udon and dashi in Japan from scratch, and enjoy the udon with two ways of eating such as hot udon and the chilled one.
We have various kinds of udon in Japan, and each region has original udon actually.
The udon you'll make is the most famous and the most popular in Japan because of its elasticity.
You'll use not only hands but also feet to make udon strong chewy. This is the traditional recipe, but only this udon.
And also, you'll learn how to make Osaka-style Japanese soup stock.
Umami comes from the Osaka soup stock culture, and the Osaka-style broth is the most delicious.
We chose this best combination so that you could enjoy the best udon in Japan.
And more, You'll learn how to make one more side dish using the leftover ingredients after filtering soup.
We're sure that you will be amazed at its deliciously as well as SDGs idea.
We use high-quality ingredients and seasonings so that you can enjoy the best Udon dishes in this experience.

I love eating, especially authentic foods.
But most of restaurants use no good quality ingredients and they are easy to use both additives and instant.
I don't think these are delicious at all.
My policy about cooking is that not only to use the good quality ingredients but also to take time and effort.
About ten years ago, I opened the selected foods shop and cafe and at the same time, I started the cooking workshop for local people.
My menu is various from the traditional preserved foods such as miso paste and pickled plum to sweets.
Udon making is one of the most popular workshop for the local people.
I started this workshop for the overseas guests in 2017.
I can say now Udon making is very attractive to anybody in the world as well as for all of generation.
Join us and know the authentic delicious udon!

Tomoko was very sweet and genuine when it came to sharing her culture and cooking style. I loved the atmosphere she create! I will definitely do another class when I visit Osaka again!

We loved this experience! Tomoko was a great host, we felt very welcome. At first she told us something about the background of Udon. Then took us step by step through the process of making udon soup (and some extras :) ). She explained everything very well so that we could understand why we are doing this and how to adjust the process if we want to do it at home. We also got the receipe with all the instructions to cook at home. She even gave me an additional vegan version so I can cook it for my vegan dad. The food at the end was soo yummy. We can recommend this experience to anybody who want to learn how to cook udon and enjoy a great meal.

This was a really fun experience! The ingredients were fresh and high quality and Tomoko walked us through each step of the process. She is a lovely host and we enjoyed getting to know her and sharing her passion for food. It was delicious!

Tomoko is a wonderful host and exceptionally friendly. We had fun during our experience making udon noodles and dashi from scratch, as well as some side dishes. The ingredients she provides are top quality, including home made spice mixes, making the end product very tasty. She had incredible knowledge of what she was teaching and also happy to chat with us at the end of our lesson.
