We’ll go through the most fascinating metro stations of the most beautiful underground in the world (including Revolution Square, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya, Komsomolskaya and Mayakovskaya), we’ll admire mosaics and murals, stained glass and chandeliers, discuss difference in architecture and construction styles. But more than that, you’ll get to know our Soviet history: fun and scary, real and mythical. We’ll have a pitstop in the middle to know the story of Stalin’s 7 Sisters and admire one of them (the Red Gate building - the most challenging construction). In the end of our tour we’ll finish at a special place to try Russian tea with pastry – the best way to relax after 3 hour walk!
The tour is perfect if it's raining, snowing or freezing outside - you will feel warm!

We’re 4 passionate local guides very keen on history of USSR: Olga, Tanya, Reilya and Ilya. Moscow metro is the best place in the city to talk about Stalin's Empire rise and dawn. We have been doing this tour for 3 years and keep improving with every year. We have a historian (Ilya) and a journalist (Tanya), an economist (Olga) and a philologist (Reilya) in our team, but we love history and discussions about USSR mostly! We would give you opposite opinions on Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev, and Gorbachev along with showing mosaics and murals and will leave it up to you to decide

- The tour was well thought through - we managed to see a handful of the most beautiful metro stations in Moscow, learn the history and beliefs around them. Our guide was well-prepared and showed us pictures of the stations before they got modified and other interesting facts. We also had a chance to go outside a few times to take a look at the Stalin's skyscrapers, learn about the history behind them and even visited the old foyer of one of the buildings, which was spectacular. The tour ended in a cosy cafe with traditional Russian pies - we had a really good time overall
- We had a great day exploring the Moscow Metro with Daya. She was super friendly, easy to get along with and very knowledgable. She had stories to tell about the stations and the history behind them. She took loads of photos for us and chatted to us about the Moscow culture and way of life. We would not have seen all of this without her or understood what we were seeing. Thank you Daya.
- Our host - Daya - was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk to. We felt it was really good value and would happily recommend it. We especially enjoyed learning more about Soviet history in general, as it is relevant to tour, and a great bonus. We picked a day that was cheaper - as the prices varies. If you can I recommend scanning the times if you have the flexibility. At the cheaper price it was amazing value, at the higher prices it would still be worth it but why pay more when you can pay less.
