See the best & feel the real taste of Kyiv! We will start from Mikhailovskaya Square and proceed to some of the most picturesque and interesting objects around, such as the biggest local Christmas Market (when it's open), Glass Bridge, St.Volodymyr hill, Landscape Alley, Andriyivsky Uzviz (or Vozdvyzhenka), and then to historical district full of modern vibes called Podil. Our final destination will be a cool wine bar where only local wines and snacks are served. On the way you'll find out a lot of new things about Ukrainian past and present, and especially about Ukrainian food & drink scene. No, it's not about borsh and vareniki, but more about what Ukrainians eat and drink today. All the venues we will visit will be the 'hidden gems' - where locals go. Also along the route I will tell you about other tasty and affordable places worth of your visiting, and in the end I'll send you a file with all the recommendations. Of course, the list won't be full 'cause there are so many great bars and restaurants to try in Kyiv today. But at least you'll know where to go for a lunch or dinner during your stay. I can guarantee that all the places will be cool and affordable. Be aware that the excursion includes a lot of walking! But we can make it shorter or longer, depending on your wishes. It will be full of impressions anyway.
My name is Lena & I’m a versatile person: ex-journalist, avid traveler (and AirBnB fan), SMM guru, runner, licensed skydiver and wine enthusiast. One day I want to become a pilot and get my own winery. Meanwhile I’ve been exploring winemaking, and Ukraine now is one of the best places to do this. You haven’t ever heard about Ukrainian wines? I’m not surprised: the story is just beginning right now. And it’s exciting! I’m sure that in a few years – or decades – wines from Ukraine will be known in all Europe or probably the whole world. So be among the firsts to try them. And accompany your tasting with Ukrainian oysters (!), snails (!!) or other modern foods that are popular here now. I bet: you’re going to love the Experience!
ATTN! All the places are very picturesque, get your camera ready! - Mikhailovskaya Square; - Glass Bridge; - St.Volodymyr Hill; - Landscape Sculpture Alley; - Andriyivsky Uzviz; - One or another (or a few) bar, cafe or restaurant 'only for locals'; - Vozdvyzhenka; - Podil from Kontraktova to Poshtova square; - Dnypro river embankment; - Very special bar with only Ukrainian wines and snacks.
Drinks and food are not included in the price. It's up to you to decide what you want to choose and pay for. But since all the places we'll visit are those for locals, you can be sure they won't be expensive. Normally the route includes 2-3 places to visit where you'll spend around 100-300 UAH each.
