Once we all have our wellingtons on we will be ready to head over and meet the goats. They are very playful and enjoy guests. Along the way Mike will share his ample experience in farming and answer any questions you might have about our farming operation. Next we will stop by and see Daisy our sow and possibly give her a treat, she loves apples. After that we will head into the pastures so you can experience our cattle and the beautiful rolling hills they call home. Our final stop will be our farm store where you will have the opportunity to purchase some of our farm products.

Growing up on the Meenahorna Farm in Knocknagoshel Co. Kerry, Ireland, Michael Fitzgerald honed his farming instincts the best way there is, through hard work and experience. Working on the family farm until he was 21 years of age, Mike learned everything there is to know about rearing cattle and stewarding the land. Over the past five years he has put this knowledge to use on a farm of his own, in Livingston N.Y. The Fitzgerald’s Locust Hills Farm is continuing the family tradition started many generations ago, raising animals in a humane and sustainable manner.
Wellingtons or Rain boots
The farm is named after the lush locust trees that pepper the Hudson Valley, because Mike Fitzgerald knows that a farmer's beef is only as good as the land it grazes on. You will get to experience this first hand as you stroll through our pastures and climb our hills.
