After our epic breakfast at Cafe temple we will take a short walking tour (about 45 mins) to show you the highlights of our city.
We will be ambling through the shopping area, the Latin Quarter, the riverside around the Spanish Arch and the over to the 'Claddagh' (famous for that Claddagh ring) before entering 'The West'. We finish back in the centre of town having taken in the 'vibe' and assaulted our senses with Galway's charms!
Galway, or the 'city of the tribes' as it is known is a fine example of a medieval city that used to send out its trading ships to the world. We'll tell you a little about the history but also about how the city has evolved into a vibrant modern city filled with great places to eat, shop and dine.
PLEASE NOTE : Current reviews refer only to the 'walking' part of the experience as we have added the breakfast this year. If you you really dont want breakfast (and you are missing out !) then you will get a cash refund of 10 euro on the price of the experience.

Children of 16 and under are welcome to come along with their parent(s) or guardian(s) FREE of charge. We just ask that you attend to their breakfasts please !

Over the years we must have had tea or coffee in every joint in town, no two the same! We'll point out places like the Black Gate and Tribeton that are very much not part of the 'main drag'. Rooted in the community they are far from the one-size-fits all multinational brands we see everywhere.
We love our fish in Galway too, and we'll pass by places that started back in 1902, but are still fresh today.
And we'll cram in the odd eccentric shop.

- We had a great Tour with Neil. Starting with a great breakfast which was included and very delicious. Sadly for him but good for us was the fact that many other members canceled their tour, so we had our private tour. He showed us the history and everything we needed to see in Galway. Neil has a great sense of humour and we could had listened to him many hours more. We totally recommend his tour for every visitor. Greetings from Germany Lara and Philipp
- Neil was fantastic. He was ultra friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares about and loves Galway. It was the perfect introduction to the city and I highly recommend you do it first thing so that you get all of Neil’s great insights and tips for the rest of your stay. He was also terrific with our 20 month old and was kind about keeping the pace slower for some of our group. Such a beautiful city and a great tour!
