What about a fresh start to see the sun-rise and discover Houston outside of the busy hours or just simply want to sight see in a short amount of time while getting an exercise? We will cover between 5-6miles total and you will get a good workout. We will: -Meet-up and greet in Downtown -Run by the following sights: Toyota Center, Discovery Green, Minute Maid Park, Theater District, Main Street, Sesquicentennial Park, Market Square Historical District -Finish by a little cool down & stretch at Buffalo Bayou Park
Hello my name is Lester! I am a long time runner since high school. I've been running around Houston since moving 3 years ago! You would be amazed how on the number of Houstonians go for a jog/run in the very early morning before going to work. Houston is a great city to run because there is not much traffic downtown and you can see many things in a short amount of time. Anyhow, early morning is the best time to enjoy the city sights almost alone, see the sun rise and start your day energized. No worry, I will adapt to your pace and distance; as well your needs and physical conditions.
We’ll most likely go under the bridges near Buffalo Bayou Park. Its a hidden running trail line connected to the park. We could also do a slightly different version of this run, depending on the weather and ability of the group. After we go around Downtown, we’ll enjoy a cool down & stretch at one my my favorite places in the park. Best spot to take a picture as well.
