Arriving at the van in Gwithian Beach Car Park for a Surfing Lesson or North Quay Hayle Harbour for a Paddle Boarding Lesson you will be welcomed by either myself (Ben) or Elena. After an introduction and quick overview of your activity ahead we will jump into wetsuits ready for your experience. The atmosphere is always relaxed & social we like our guests feel as comfortable as possible so at this stage we will be happy to put any fears or worries to rest. Remember you don't need any previous experience and you will have the full support from your instructor throughout the lesson. The majority of our lessons are taught at waist depth water. Once the whole group is happy & raring to go we will make our way down onto Gwithian's famous golden sands. Your lesson will be broken down into two parts & we will explain & demonstrate everything in manageable stages. First part we will cover beach safety, how to manage your surfboard & catching waves for the first time, the second will consist of techniques & tips on how to get to your feet whilst riding a wave back to the shore. You don't need to be a strong swimmer to join these sessions. Just up & ready for giving it good go.
Ben & Elena
We love the ocean - and being able to introduce & share quality surf and paddle boarding experiences with those wishing to get into the sea has always been a great privilege. Both Myself (Ben) and partner (Elena) your fully qualified instructors & Founders of Eskinzo Surf School have worked within the Cornish and International surf coaching/surf camp industry for over ten years. During this time, we've been fortunate enough to work in some of the most beautiful surf locations on earth, meeting and teaching an abundance of fantastic characters along the way.

We have carefully chosen Gwithian due to the quality of waves this spot can provide. The vast size of Gwithian beach allows us to teach with plenty of space in quieter picturesque surroundings & offers an off the beaten track feel at high tide.
