On this diverse walking tour, you’ll get to experience a few of Melbourne's iconic laneways; visit the South Melbourne Market & Albert Park Lake; meander through the expansive Domain Parklands; explore Melbourne's biggest sports & entertainment precinct (including the Melbourne Cricket Ground & Rod Laver Arena), and gain an appreciation of indigenous culture at Birrarung Marr. The experience is designed specifically for small groups (max 6 people) so there is more opportunity for you to learn about Melbourne and enjoy time with other like-minded people. You will also get to experience Melbourne's 'coffee culture', as we'll take a morning break in one of the many cafes tucked away in the lanes. Highlights include: - A walk through colourful laneways in the heart of the city. - Browsing at South Melbourne Market, where there's a chance to sample jam donuts, pastries or the market's famous dim sims, and enjoy the many lunch options. - Strolling alongside Albert Park Lake (home to the Australian Grand Prix). - Incredible views of the Melbourne CBD from St Kilda Road. - Secret gardens, such as Fern Gully in the Domain Parklands. - Seeing sculptures of famous sporting personalities on the Melbourne Cricket Ground promenade. - Indigenous artwork at Birrarung Marr. I have a personal connection with many of these places & look forward to sharing those stories with you.
Hi there! I'm an outgoing person who loves to travel & explore. My background is diverse. I’m a freelance travel writer, photographer & editor. This tour is flexible, depending on participant interests, and I'm able to add some dates if required (please enquire via direct message). I'm also happy to take photos of you & give some tips during the tour.
