The tour will start in my shop, which is one of the many sort of coworkings for crafstmen that are based in the district.
We wil ride through the different scenarios of this interesting and not very well known district full of amazing contrasts; from the old abandoned factories to the still preserved original neighborhood and the modern seafront.
Although you will use upright bicycles during the tour, for safety reasons, you will of course have the opportunity to ride in one of my handmade recumbents during the multiple stops that we will make during the route.

If you find it hard to get to my shop we can meet at Poblenou subway station (the station has only one exit at the crossing of Pujades with Bilbao street) and from there walk to my shop.

My personal background is very eclectic; I studied design, arts and crafts, aircraft maintenance and aero engineering. Now I do what I like the most; designing and building with my hands in a communal workshop shared with other craftsmen in Poblenou who are also passionate about their work.

- Merci à Oriol de nous avoir fait partager sa passion pour ces vélos incroyables et très sympathique à conduire. Et sa passion pour ce quartier de poblenou avec son histoire, ces contrastes qu'il sait si bien mettre en avant, ces lieux cachés ... Un moment de partage très agréable avec une personnalité hors du commun. Nous recommanderons à nos amis de Barcelone. Merci.
- This tour was one of the highlights of my trip. Oriol was a complete gentleman, he met me at the metro because I was a little bit worried about getting lost and not too sure of the neighborhood. His bikes are really fun to ride, and he was very patient and attentive while I got comfortable using the bike and travelling both on realtively quite roads as well pavements. The stops that he selected were well chosen and when I left I felt that I had really experienced the neighborhood and understood both the older traditional barcelona, the huge impact of the olympic games on the area and factories as well as how gentrification was both good, but also threatened the traditional way of life in Poblenou. I strongly recommend this tour to all visitors. I spent 6 days in Barcelona and I did not get to see everything. But this tour was highly personalised and lots of fun. Definitely would be on my list for the next trip.
- Une découverte d'un quartier méconnu de Barcelone à vélo couché au départ d'un atelier d'artistes. Oriol, l'inventeur de ces vélos et guide de cette expédition originale nous a généreusement fait partager sa passion pour l'histoire de Poblenou et de Barcelone de même que pour la fabrication de ses vélos, en ne comptant pas son temps. En bonus, un arrêt pour goûter une petite spécialité sucrée typique. Cette sortie était absolument fantastique, à faire et refaire. J’ajoute qu’Oriol parle très bien français, ce qui a été un plus pour nous. Merci Oriol !
- This was a really cool tour. First, Oriol is a very engaging guide and is passionate not only about his craft (specialized recumbent human-powered vehicles) but about the city and region of Barcelona. After learning some personal history and a tour of his workshop we took his recumbent bikes around parts of Barcelona, stopping frequently to highlight past and present architecture, artists communes, parks and other public spaces. Oriol likes to highlight the contrasting architecture which can be tied to various historical events and trends. We took exclusively bike paths and other safe routes and stopped in the middle for some coffee and hot chocolate. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in learning a lot of history of Barcelona and taking in the contrasting architecture by bike!
- Oriol took us on an interesting bike tour of a non-touristy part of Barcelona. We learned some fascinating details about history, architecture, and culture. He’s smart and well informed and passionate about city planning. He’s also a very nice guy. If you’ve already seen the more travelled areas of the city, this tour is a great next step.
