Mosaic is one of the oldest decorative forms present in Italy. During the workshop, I will show and explain various types of materials (like marble and vitreous tiles), the tools normally used by mosaic artist (hammer, pliers, pincers...) and different techniques. You will see examples of different types of mosaic (Roman mosaic, classic and modern) and you will learn about the evolution of the mosaic art, the different styles and trends. You will learn to cut the tiles with pincers, how to study and prepare the subject and you'll create a piece of mosaic to bring at your home.

I graduated from the New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan with a focus on Graphic Design and Art Direction, then completed his Master’s studies in Experimental Mosaic within the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna. The study of graphic design, communications, and advertising allowed me to explore the world of mosaic art with a new and innovative approach. In the summer of 2010, I spent one month in Damascus with a group specialized in the restoration of Roman pavement mosaics, an experience whose cultural and emotional impact has strongly influenced the artist.
Our little village called Brenta it's 6 km far away from the lake and in the streets there are several mosaics from different artist.
