体验内容
Let’s explore Havana’s lush green landscapes by bike. In the heart of the city, along the Almendares river, we will find an enchanted forest, which has practically fallen into oblivion. It is known as the Great Metropolitan Park, designed by Jean C. N. Forestier, the landscape architect of the Eiffel Tower’s gardens. We will start the journey with a famous love story. A legend which shows us the extravagance of early 20th century Havana and its forest.
Availability:
Spanish Monday - Saturday 9:00 am;
English Monday - Saturday 1:30 pm, Sunday 9:00 am;
* During the reservation, you must choose the language of the experience.
We will ride through Vedado neighborhood into the forest. After a few hills, we will reach the river. Once Havana's economic backbone, this river was essential in Havana's growth at the turn of the century. A hidden path will take us to a Moorish castle, beer gardens, surreal Gaudi-style landscapes, natural amphitheaters and huge walking trees like in Barcelona's Güell Park. We may also come across devotees practicing Santeria rituals. We will talk about how this area has become a natural sanctuary for them.
To finish, we will stop at a restaurant for a chill time. Enjoy a tropical fruit juice and seafood tapas with a splendid view of the river.
Other things to note
There are no bike lanes in Cuba. The ride distance is about 10 km (6.2 miles).
There are a couple of hills. We will need to pick up our bikes to move up or down a path. Bring extra water.

- It’s was an absolute pleasure to do a little bike trip. We had an interesting guide Bryan, who told us some stories about the city and the forest, also he managed to arrange a Castle and Beer garden visiting even though it still was closed for tourists because of Covid. We just had a great time
- What a fun thing to do! This was a different way to see Havana and also get a little exercise. The route was easy and Bryan had so much information he shared about the history of Cuba. He clearly knew his stuff. We also were able to chat about current events and helped me understand more about the Cuban lifestyle and mindset. Highly recommend this tour!
- Our guide, Chavily (hope i’m spelling that right), was great. She was super smart. She was frank and passionate in her story telling. The sites we saw on the tour were beautiful. The ride was a fair distance but the stops were evenly spaced and long enough so that I didn’t really feel tired at all. We rode on quiet streets for most of the way and i felt safe the whole time. The bike they provided was in great shape. I would take them up on tours to other sites whenever i go back to Cuba.
