Tracing a picture of Buddhist image, called "Shabutu" in Japanese, is one of Buddhist practices. This practice was created to spread the teachings of Buddha instead of learning difficult scripture.
This is our original program and anybody can experience the training in a short period of time because all you have to do is to trace the post-card sized rough copy of a Buddhist painting using a pink-colored ink brush pen. Why pink? because the image you trace at this experience is Aizen-myoo, the love god!

(3)Choose the Buddhist image and start to trace
－4 kinds of Buddhist images: Aizenmyoo, Bodhisattva, Shakyamuni, and kshitigarbha
(4)Put the matchmaking Buddhist image in the "Charm bag" (an additional charge: 880 yen)
I will give you the "Own Charm Bag" after you finish Tracing the Buddhist image experience.
The Charm Bag has 5 Japanese traditional patterns on it.
And the patterns are said to bring a good look, you can choose one color you like. (There are 3 colors.)
Put the Buddhist image you traced into the charm bag as a carry-on charm to protect you at all times!
You can calm yourself and rediscover your feelings just by concentrating on the tracing activity of Buddhist paintings.
*The schedule depends on the situation

-Please come to the reception desk 5 minutes before the time table.
-You can sit on the cheer during the experience
-Japanese and simple English only.
-We will use the paint pen, so please wear the clothes you don’t mind if it gets dirty.

I always have a huge interest in traditional Japanese cultures and learned tea ceremony. I also have an experience working in a tea-ceremony house.
Since 2017, I work as front desk staff at a hotel "WAQOO Shitaderamachi" located in a unique temple district (Teramachi in Japanese) packed with more than 80 temples and teach some buddhist experiences like hand-copying Sutras for our guests.
I want foreigners to know about this unique temple district (it is said that this area is one of the greatest temple district!) and some activities related to temples. This is why I started this activities.

If you want, you can visit Aizendo-Shomaninn temple where it worships the statue of Aizen-Myoo, the love god, that you trace at this program. It tooks just a five minutes to get the temple from us.
