The history of booze has always been shrouded in myths told with overzealous confidence. Mostly because the people promulgating such knowledge were probably drunk. “Absinthe makes you hallucinate!” It doesn’t. “The clearer the spirit the more pure.” What. “Cocktails are only quality if stirred not shaken.” Please stop. Spirits are fascinating because of the stories they hold and the stories they create. Cocktail culture is quintessentially American — it’s a blend of cultures, of interactions between people, laws, countries. It’s young and rapidly evolving with the increasing interconnectedness of the world yet deeply rooted in tradition. 11/22: Whisk(e)y 11/23: Vodka & Gin 11/29: Rum, Tequila, Mezcal 11/30: Vodka & Gin We’ll go through a brief history of the spirits of the night, how to differentiate, pair flavor profiles, and go on to taste classic cocktails in these categories. You'll learn about the theory and arts behind mixology through tastings and sample up-and-coming local spirits. Any respectable bartender should be well versed in the classics, so come hang out on our balcony overlooking the SF skyline and discover your next cocktail crush <3
Rose fell in love with bartending as an art and traveled the world seeking the intersection of cultures as an inspiration for innovative cocktails. In 2015, she moved to San Francisco, the birthplace of cocktail culture, where she hosts local Master Classes for mixology. In a past life, Rose ran the Formal Services Agency, a bartending academy licensing 500+ bartenders every year to service the Greater New York Area. Prior, she was Director of Bar 79 and hired and trained a team of on-demand bartenders staffing local bars and events in Princeton, New Jersey.

The Master Class will be hosted on Potrero Hill, a cozy spot overlooking the entire city. We'll open up my personal bar with spirits curated from around the world. We'll be indoors in my newly renovated penthouse, and afterwards, we'll hang out our beautiful platform deck overlooking the San Francisco skyline!
