Discover the real tango: Learn about its secrets, and live it as a local dancing at an authentic Milonga. The experience has two parts. First we have a lesson at my studio (very central and easy to get by public transportation). You'll learn the basics of tango and some tips to feel comfortable if it is your first tango experience. Then we'll go to a local milonga (most of the times with live music), where you can practice and have an authentic Buenos Aires tango night out! You'll understand the soul of this dance, from its history, the social codes it involves, and its importance for the Argentinian culture. You'll get an insider look to what Tango is really about, having the chance to experience it on first hand and not only as an observer, diving right into its natural environment: an authentic Milonga. There's no need of previous experience. Solo travelers are welcome. Most milongas last longer than the duration of the experience, you're welcome to stay as long as you want. Live music starts later at some milongas, feel free to ask about your dates. If you don't find the dates you need drop me a message, or if you want to hire a professional dancing partner.
I'm a tango dancer, certified teacher, and researcher on sociology of music and dance/movement therapy. My immersion into this world allowed me to understand that tango is not just a dance, but a way of life. My approach to tango combined my personal experience as an insider with my knowledge about its history and social implications to create the Tango Immersion project, where travelers can understand tango from its roots and being part of the local way of living it in Buenos Aires, instead of just watching without knowing the social background or going to a tango show made for tourism. This experience has been an opportunity to share this passion of mine for tango while meeting travelers, showing them something I truly treasure and helping them to get an authentic taste of the Buenos Aires' culture.

Some milongas charge an entrance fee (Not included / As an average it's 200 pesos - US$5). I'll be on tour from June to Sept, my colleagues will host the experience during those dates.
