I am a proud Mancunian, food nerd and eating enthusiast. Whenever I speak to someone who has recently been on a trip overseas my first question is always 'what was the best thing you ate?'. I love food history and think one of the best ways to learn about a city is through its food and drink.
I will lead you on a culinary journey through Manchester, with up to eight tastings at some of the best food spots across Manchester. These tastings will add up to a big meal (come hungry!). I will reveal some fascinating food and drink stories along the way. From the ice cream families of Little Italy to how our national drink was at the centre of the biggest ever case of industrial espionage!
If you have any special dietary requirements then please let us know in advance of your tour date.
Up to 8 tasting
We will visit multiple independent restaurants across the city, from a converted butchers hall to an award winning independent ice cream store in a bohemian shopping arcade. You will learn about Victorian Manchester and uncover some of the city's food and drink stories along the way. You will also have the chance to discover whether you are a 'supertaster'! .
