Located on a scenic evergreen hill, Araksa Tea Plantation specializes in producing high quality Assam tea, a black tea named after India's largest tea growing region. We begin with a history of tea in Thailand and how the Araksa tea is grown here. You will enjoy the beauty of the lush tea plantation and learn all about the tea growing process. Then, you will be invited to pick tea leaves with the local tea pickers, watch how the leaves are processed according to age-old traditions and then enjoy a cup of tea and traditional Thai snack. The experience lasts between 1 1/2 hours and 2 hours. Since Araksa is a private gated tea plantation and open for tours on schedule only, you will have an exclusive experience. Also, don't forget to stop by the Araksa Tea House, located in the tea planation. It's a lovely restaurant that serves delicious healthy Thai food, cakes and a variety of tea.
My name is Charlie. After spending 10 years in a band as a singer in the 1950s, I found my passion in showing travellers what a wonderful country Thailand is. I started out as a guide in northern Thailand in 1979 and never change a job ever since. Recently, I found home in the Araksa tea estate where we grow organic tea. Here, I enjoy telling stories about the history of tea in Thailand and showing people how the tea is grown in an environmental friendly and sustainable way.

The tour will take place in the Araksa tea farm. The tea plants here are about 150 cm high and shaded by many tall trees. The tea is grown in a sustainable way without chemical fertilizer and pesticide. It is a special place to see and experience.
