Winter in Canada can be very cold. Participating in outdoor activities on some days during this time of the year can be uncomfortable, especially if you are not used to the cold weather. This tour makes a winter walk much more pleasant by using Toronto's PATH system to move from site to site. We'll see the sites and avoid the cold! The city's PATH network is over 30km (20 miles) in length and is used by over 300,000 people daily to get to and from work. Along this tour, we will pop outside for a few minutes, and you will see and learn about city sites such as Union Station, the CN Tower, Rogers Centre (Skydome), the Royal York Hotel, Brookfield Place, City Hall, the Eaton Centre, and Yonge Dundas Square. This unique tour is a perfect tour for any type of weather but it was made for winters in Toronto!
I am the founder of a small group walking tour company based in Toronto, called Buzz Tours. I obtained my degree in Urban Geography, and wrote research papers focusing on the physical and cultural growth of Toronto's downtown core. I have lived in the city centre for over 30 years and have learned how to maneuver through not just the streets of the city but also PATH (the downtown's underground pedestrian walkway).
Toronto is full of great architecture, and sights,. This tour uses - PATH (the Underground City) to get to places such as Scotiabank Arena (Jurassic Park), Brookfield Pace, the Financial District, Dundas Square, the Eaton Centre and City Hall. We will go from sight to sight using PATH, occasionally stepping outdoors, to get the outside perspective of the city. PLEASE NOTE: This tour does not end where it starts. End point is Dundas Square
最多可有8位年满12周岁的参与者参加。 The PATH tour contains a large number of stairs. On many occasions, our guests must walk up at least 1 flight of stairs (apx. 15)
The PATH tour is a walking tour. The length of the tours is about 4km or 2.5 miles. The tour starting and ending point are NOT the same. This tour has MANY stairs and is not suitable for strollers
