Heritage Walk of Kampung Baru. Kampung Baru was previously known as the Malay Agricultural Settlement MAS The purpose of the MAS was to encourage agriculture among the Malays especially in planting paddy. With 120 years of history behind it this settlement survived through British Colonial rule, Japanese occupation and the fight for independence
Other things to note
NZ Curry House is next to Menara Public Bank ( 146 Jalan Ampang). Nearest LRT Station is KLCC Station ( 5 minute walk to NZ Curry House). Exit via Avenue K Mall and walk towards Menara Public Bank and you will see NZ Curry House. Nearest MRT Station is Bukit Bintang Station ( 15 minute walk)

It is said that the seeds of independence were first sown in Kampung Baru. In fact UMNO's founding roots were in this very land, sparked by the first Malay Congress Assembly which was held at the Sultan Suleiman Club to protest the Malayan Union. Unfortunately it was also the starting point of the tragic May 13th riots in 1969. The galvanic Kampung was also the focal point of the 1998 Reformasi protest launched by the former deputy prime minister
