My experience is part of the partnership between Airbnb and the Thai Ministry of Interior’s Community Development Department to showcase charming yet lesser-known local communities across Thailand. With us, you will get to venture out and explore unseen aspects of unique local cultures and ways of life in Thai villages without even having to leave your homes. We can’t wait to show you around!

Our virtual tour will start at the fisherman village, Baan Bakmap.
Through pictures and videos, I will show you how the villager live , make a living , scenic scenery, and fun activities we did.
We start the trip by introducing everyone who made a trip together. Get to know the villager and the insights, facts of fishery industry.
I will show you our journey to the ocean. Cruising on the boat to ground office of fisherman. Learning how to survive as the villager. Finding razor clam, clam fish, WEDGE SHELL
Virtually, a cooking challenge by 5 star hotel chefs. Who turn ordinary to yummy and wonderful presentations of chefs.

I love travelling and visiting local communities. I enjoy chatting , exchanging knowledge with the locals. I always have a curiosity of the way they live and how do they make a living.
I have been in the tourism business for about 15 years. I mainly sell stand tourism packages to top destinations. Travellers only go to main sightseeing and less income distribution to the local.
I always wonder why the local people who own the natural resources, get very less benefit from tourism.
In fact, they are the one who lives there and they suppose getting the most out from their home.
Sustainable tourism is in need
So this experience is for promoting a un-know sightseeing. To show the real life of local people in fisherman villages. I am impressed with how the villagers fight with the change such as climate , rules and regulation.

- I loved learning about the Thai artisinal fishers and dishes that they are able to masterfully create from crabs, razor clams, krill and shrimp. Bouy's online experience is an educational experience - she shares videos of the fishers & a local chef that prepares meals from their catches. I'm also amazed at the conservation efforts the Thai people put in place to save the blue crab. This is truly an educational "escape" for anyone interested in learning more about "local Thailand."
