Giulio E Marina
Alex picked us up from Florence and drove us to the vineyard in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. We were shown around the gardens by Emmanuela who was so passionate and knowledgable about all of the herbs and plants and really made it a lovely experience for us. We then moved onto the vineyard and winery where she spoke about the cultivation of the different varieties and the winemaking process in the winery itself where we got to taste some different wines which were amazing! Due to not being able to do bottling of the wine on this day we were instead offered the chance to make some pasta from scratch with Alex, he made this so much fun for us and cooked us a delicious sauce and filling for the ravioli which we ate with some of the wine produced on site. The cherry on top was being able to go and swim in the pool in the beautiful weather before being taken to the train station to go back to Florence. We would definitely recommend you do this experience, it was so personable and one of our favourite days in Italy. We want to thank Alex and Emmanuela for making it so special for us and although we did not get to meet Giulio and Marina the communication was great and we had an amazing time, Hector and Anna

Honestly the most incredible experience. It was so immersive into Tuscan culture. The hosts went above and beyond with every aspect. The winery was stunning, we handmade pasta and they cooked it for us, we went swimming in the pool, it was epic from start to finish. Can not recommend this highly enough. The hosts are just wonderful, engaging, funny, passionate and welcoming. Best day in Italy so far!

Do yourselves a big favor...book this experience! My wife and I spend two to three months a year in Europe from the USA. We arrive at the beginning of Autumn so we always try to arrange time to participate in the grape harvest. Our previous harvest was just outside Strasbourg and it was fabulous. We didn’t think we could top it. Being with Julio and Lapo quickly changed our minds. Julio and Lapo, in addition to being two great guys, specialize in organic grape growing, harvesting and processing . Right from the start when we stopped at a very small vineyard which Julio and Lapo used to provide an introduction to their extensive property as well as a primer on their process, l knew we were in for a treat. We then were shown beautiful grounds and extensive fruit tree, plant and herb garden of the main house. We then walked down the hill for a closer look and description of the extensive vineyards for the major varietals..tasting the delicious grapes at each stop. At this point we were provided shears and a bucket and proceeded to harvest several rows. Great fun!! We then walked back to the house to cool off on the beautiful patio in anticipation of lunch. And what a lunch it was. Italian born Roberta began her love of the culinary arts in Europe and spent 20+ years in the USA honing her considerable talent, including as the proprietor of her own bakery and the head chef in several noteworthy restaurants. To say her menu choices and preparation was out of this world would not do justice. At the conclusion of lunch we moved to the “wine shop” to see the tanks, aging, bottling and labeling. We also tasted their marvelous creation! 7 hours extremely well spent.
