Julio and his friend, Roberta, presented a wonderful concert last night. They both took us on a unique journey through the different regions of Argentina, by painting a picture in your mind of the area and playing typical music that you might hear from that part of the country. They tied the music together with some delicious wine, homemade bread, and a chocolate treat. Julio and Roberta are both extremely talented musicians and very welcoming to their guests. We highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys music and wants to learn more about this diverse country.

On the way to the event, we were somewhat uncertain what to expect. When we arrived, Julio was already waiting for us in the street at the door to his apartment and, from the start, he gave us the feeling of meeting with friends. Initially we were chatting with the other people there, friends and neighbours of Julio, as well as his wife Roberta and son Kai. Then the music started, Julio playing the guitar, Roberta at the bandoneon, both also singing. We were guided through different styles and rhythms from the various provinces of Argentina, mostly with compositions from Julio himself. The music left a strong impression with us, the bandoneon in particular, and we were enchanted by the passionate and professional performance of the two musicians. All this went along with wine and snacks in a relaxed, but music-centered atmosphere. All in all a wonderful evening which we will certainly remember fondly for a long time as one of our very best experiences in Buenos Aires ever!
