In this 90min online experience, learn how to Koreanize your home cooked favorites. Be amazed at how tasty and easy it is to incorporate distinctively Korean flavours into everyday dishes that you know and love!

Originally from South Korea, I’ve been living abroad for many years working as a freelance food & travel journalist and I’ve been fortunate to meet renowned chefs and learn about different cuisines, flavours and techniques. This is my source of inspiration for many dishes in my classes.

You won’t find recipes for a lot of my dishes online because they are my own creations. I will share the story behind each dish and snippets from my interviews with some of the most renowned chefs in the world. By the end of the class, it is my goal to help you start a Korean food revolution of your own!

I am a freelance food writer and cooking instructor from South Korea living in England, UK. I have published two books in Korean and regularly write food and travel articles for a Korean magazine. Until this year, I was travelling a lot, interviewing a lot of world famous chefs and learning about different cuisines.

From having lived outside Korea for many years, I am familiar with the challenges you face in finding the right ingredients. I know learning to cook a new dish is not easy especially considering that we are online. I want your result to be just as good and importantly, for you to relax and have fun! The Dak Kalguksu class was my third experience with Wan Jeong. She was friendly and nice as always. Kalguksu are handmade, sliced noodles, with a chicken soup. I really liked how much experience Wan Jeong has. She knew exactly what she was doing and was therefore able to explain to us very well what we have to do. The noodles and the soup were - thanks to the good instructions - quickly made. You can see that Wan Jeong has a lot of experience and can explain very well. The noodles were very tasty and really authentic, as my Korean mother-in-law confirmed. I can recommend everyone, whether beginner or advanced cook, to have an experience with Wan Jeong. Many thanks to Wan Jeong and I am already looking forward to the next course.

This was my 6th experience with Wan Jeong. This time I learned how to make dak kalguksu. It’s amazing that we all have made noodles and soup from scratch and could finish within an hour. My noodles came out perfect! The noodle soup came out delicious! Looking forward to the next one with WJ!

This was my 5th experience with Wan Jeong. She was so sweet as usual. This time I learned how to make ban chan, a staple set of Korean side dishes for every meal. I learned so many new techniques and my 4 types of banchan came out soooooooo delicious! I am looking forward to the next experience with her (in 20 minutes).

Another wonderful event with Wan Jeong. She is always so kind and welcoming and the classes are so friendly it feels like we are meeting up with family. The food is amazing, such delicious flavours. The ingredients aren't expensive and are really healthy too. There were no leftovers because my daughter got up early to finish it all off. Wan Jeong is a very talented cook but also a very good teacher checking up on us all and making sure none of us are left behind. Book her up now.

As a teacher she is attentive, detailed, precise, friendly, and kind ... i am always amazed by the wonderful dishes I create in her class, and the new skills and confidence I take away! Making Kimchi starts with salting the cabbage. This should be done two hours in advance. This is really easy and take only 5 minutes. Full instructions are provided in the welcome email.
