We'll explore the underground graffiti scene. We'll check out long walls covered in dozens of graffiti pieces, introducing you to the art, culture, motivation, and techniques of both ourselves and our fellow graffiti and street artists. We'll top it off by spray painting a wall — legally, of course. Feel free to request a different time if one of those listed won't work with your schedule.
If our adventure is during your usual meal time, you may want to grab a bite before hand.
Spray Paint & T-Shirt Specialty spray paint & nozzles made for pro artists. Basic t-shirt to protect yours (by request only, message me in advance).
Shoes to walk off-road
Clothes that can get a little dirty.
A small snack, if you'd like.
We'll be meeting in front of a coffee shop in the area we simply call East Austin. The murals and quirky shops here make this the unofficial art district— for many locals, this is our favorite area. We'll walk about a half mile or so and talk about the different kinds of graffiti and the artists behind the pieces. Then we'll paint behind the coffee shop.
