Grab your team, duo or prepare for your solo act! This experience brings Louisiana's dance orchestration culture to life preparing each person to march in an at-home Mardi Gras parade joining dance Captain MoeJoe’s, Bounce & Twerk team. This will be a 60-minute dance lesson + performance. Each participant will learn marching basics, the art of dance orchestration, New Orleans Bounce and twerk dance. 2-3 short routines will be taught prepping you for the big parade. You can attend fully costumed or 5 minutes will be given to change into parade gear.

My name is Marissa Joseph, also known as "Moe Joe." I am a New Iberia, Louisiana, native and a New Orleans soldier. As a lifelong Creole ambassador, I've served the state's dance and performing arts culture for 22 years. I've performed and curated events with local and international folk artists, New Orleans Bounce Pioneers, Jazz/Blues/Hip Hop legends, cover entertainment bands, Funk DJs and I've educated schools and pioneered the signature danceout, Bounce Fitness w/Moe Joe. To connect and cultivate authentic cultural experiences, I opened the dance, fitness and visual arts space, The Moe Joe Gallery.

- This is my second class with Moe. The choreography and steps were different and not a repetition from the first one I took. I just love her infectious positive spirit and vibes. I signed up for this class with my friends and sister. It was time well spent. We had so much fun. Highly recommend this class.
- My husband and I signed up for this as a virtual "date night" and had an absolute blast! We are not the best dancers, but Moe made it so much fun and was super supportive and encouraging. She made it feel really personal and told us some interesting stories about the history of New Orleans and the dance steps we learned. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking to let loose and have fun (and get a really good workout!)
