First, we will explain the batik making process with some batik demonstration. Then, our team will guide you to sketch your own design, draw hot wax with a traditional tool and paint dye on the fabric to create your original batik masterpiece.
Other things to note
You can take back the batik on the same day after it is dry.
If you need us to fix the color with compliment, it will take another 4 hours. You can come back in the afternoon of the same day or come back next day.
We also can arrange courier service to send the batik master piece to you.

We have been in the batik industry for more than 15 years and we have 8 batik artists in the our team. We are passionate about the culture heritage of Malaysia and we want to preserve and promote it to the world.

We will conduct the class at an actual batik workshop. You will be surrounded with batik artists and their artwork. Nevertheless, you will be given a comfortable place to create your own batik masterpiece.

- It was a wonderful experience. The host have done very good job explaining the batik making process from the beginning and answering all our questions. The host is also very patient with us with “no talent” in batik making. We had good time and ended up bringing back very nice batik painted by ourselves! Don’t forget to buy some souvenirs too. We were lucky to purchase some very high quality batik attires with great discounts.
- Colin and his team is so friendly and helpful to proceed each process. These are not complicated but a little tips help to improve the quality greatly. Colin and staff also teach me The Batik history a little. Moreover i could get my work as nice souvenir. I strongly recommend this tour to get good experience of Malaysia.
- We had lots of fun at Jadi Batek's class! I like how much freedom is given to the participants. We were quite slow, especially as we are not very good at handling brushes and paints, but we appreciated the help from the artists - kudos to them for being super patient! They also did not push for us to rush, which is nothing but great. It was a fun day. I would recommend this to tourists and locals alike.
- I am not an artistic person and I booked this experience just because it is quite affordable and so that I could use the experience coupon before it expires but I was pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoyed this activity. Colin and his team are very warm, informative, and friendly. You will not need a lot of instructions on what to do but they are more than willing to answer any questions you have. Tracing using the wax was a bit challenging but I enjoyed most the coloring part of the activity. Overall, it was a very fun and relaxing experience to create an artwork even if you do not have a lot of art experience. Will surely come back when I have the time!
- The store is fantastic with beautiful products. The guy who helped me during the process was very friendly and skilled, but overall I did not feel welcome. The workshop was supposed to last for 2 hours but we were done in exactly 1 hour which to me was rather disappointing. A very brief explanation and that was it. No introduction to motives or background, no showing around. Maybe because a big group was coming afterwards and basically I felt chased out.
