I will teach you the foundation skills of how to use a henna cone applicator, how to construct the key shapes, and how to put them together in a design. Then you will be ready to create your own inspired henna designs—the possibilities are endless. Using the skills that you have learned, you will then create your own A4 henna-inspired mandala printed wall art, which you can then take home to frame as a memory of your experience or give as a gift. We'll use fresh natural henna and learn about its origins and cultural significance. For the wall art, you will learn a unique technique of how to achieve a metallic-looking design. Be prepared to get your creative juices flowing. As a bonus, you will be offered the opportunity to have some henna applied to you if you so wish!
I am a professionally trained and qualified henna artist, and I've been applying natural body art for the past 10 years. I apply henna for wedding occasions, festivals, and just for fun. More recently, I have been passionate about creating unique henna-inspired home decor, such as candles, glassware, and upcycled items.

The workshop will be conducted in the bright front room on the ground floor of my modern townhouse. My home is located in the leafy suburb of New Barnet and it's less than a five-minute stroll from New Barnet Rail Station, which is only an 18-minute rail journey to zone 1. The closest tube stops are Cockfosters, High Barnet, and Totteridge & Whetstone.
