体验内容
Each tasting experience lasts about 45 minutes. My distillery is small and bijou, so its like walking into someones home.... but with a bar and a still! What I cover in the tasting is how I set up the distillery, how I make gin and then we will taste each of the four gins and I will make you a gin and tonic of your favourite one. I encourage you to be inquisitive, to be curious and ask questions. The tasting experiences are always run in small groups so we can take our time and explore. It also means that no two tastings are the same! Then of course, you will have the opportunity to buy a bottle or a gift for a gin lover!
Other things to note
Make sure that you wear comfortable shoes! We are a working distillery and you will be standing for the tasting experience!
There is no food for sale so if you think you will need a snack, please bring your own
Water, gin, tonic and garnishes are provided!
We have bathrooms on site too!

I'm the owner of a small craft gin distillery that I set up three years ago. I do everything in the distillery myself, from distilling, to bottling and to running these tasting experiences! I'm self taught in the art of distillation, and I have learnt by trial and error. I love the influence that a distiller has over the process and how from simple dried ingredients, you can create something amazing. I have created four gins, each with a different flavour profile, so I know that there is something here that everyone would enjoy. Now, my gins are internationally recognised and have won awards in the USA and UK. What I bring is passion, enthusiasm, the love of a good tale. That is why I use cartoons for the labels. There is a story behind each bottle!

Driftwood Distillery

The gin tasting will be held in the distillery. The distillery is based at Vliegkamp Valkenburg near Katwijk. The airbase was built in 1940 and has been through many transformations. Its currently being rejuvenated for small businesses and homes. The distillery is light, airy and is a fun space. Cartoons decorate the walls and there is something to see in every corner. Come and explore!

- We had such a lovely experience at Hannah’s gin tasting. As real gin lovers it was great to actually learn about the step by step production process. The distillery is really cosy, the gins were great and Hannah’s wonderful backstories were the cherry on the cake. We hope to come back with a group of friends some day!
- Driftwood ist eine sehr kleine, gute Distillery, wo Wert auf die hohe Qualität gelegt wird. Hannah, die Besitzerin, ist freundlich und mit Herzblut bei der Sache. Sie ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, auch wenn sie etwas außerhalb liegt. Wenn man nicht mit dem Auto da ist, sollte man sich rechtzeitig vorher über die verschiedenen anderen Möglichkeiten informieren. Ich selbst bin zwar als Ginneuling dorthin gekommen, aber ich denke, dass es auch für Ginkenner eine Erfahrung ist.
