体验内容

Join us for a relaxing hour of wood carving. We will jump right in with a overview of knife safety and proper knife grips. After carving on practice sticks with your new knife skills we will move on to working on the butter spreaders. Templates of different designs will be available to trace on the spreader blanks. After choosing your design start carving! The goal at the end of class is a functional piece of art to use at home and a new appreciation for hand crafted goods.
Other things to note

After taking many carving classes and workshops they began hosting workshops and classes since 2015. In 2018 Erik and Michele were featured as Makers of the North in MSP magazine. They continue to teach students how to carve spoons, hearts, butter spreaders and other carved items in the Minneapolis area. Both out of their studio and at Ingebretsens's Scandinavian Market, Marine Mills Folk School and at corporate events.

体验地点

集合地点
Studio Vevang
明尼阿波里斯(Minneapolis)
Our butter spreader class will take place at our 1920’s storefront studio in North East Minneapolis. Our studio is where we carve all the spoons and bowls that we sell at markets. You’ll have access to all our freshly sharpened tools and fresh green wood. If the weather is nice, we might take class outside in the back garden.
